Tabea Reulecke
Tabea Reulecke splits, saws, files and grinds her thoughts and ideas into her materials until a story emerges and a new piece is created. Her imagination runs riot, bringing to life new characters in wood, metal, stone, enamel and drawings. For Tabea, each piece of jewellery is a challenge, as she disappears into her interior world, making use of experiences and memories that have formed her.
Born in Berlin in 1982, Tabea studied for both her BA and MA at Trier University of Applied Sciences in the German city of Idar-Oberstein. She has travelled extensively and given lectures all over the world. Her work is exhibited in a number of collections, including the Marzee Collection, Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt and Galeria Sztuki in Legnica in Poland.
