In 2004, Galerie Marzee celebrated its 25th anniversary with the opening of the Marzee Collection. With archive images as well as articles from both Dutch and international press, Marzee, Galerie & Collection documents the first twenty five years of the gallery, from its beginnings in 1979 on Nijmegen’s Lange Hezelstraat to its magnificent home on the Waalkade, where it remains today. The book provides a visual history of the exhibitions and projects, such as the seminal Combs exhibition, Jewellery; the Choice of, the Marzee Prize and the Marzee Graduate Show, that have made the gallery one of the most internationally important spaces for contemporary jewellery.
