This book invites you into the visual world of Hibernate, established by Finnish artists Helena Lehtinen, Eija Mustonen and Tarja Tuupanen in 1999. Exploring the artists’ work and their collaborative projects, it also considers the importance of the environment and scenery of Finland and its influence on their work.

With a Foreword by Hibernate and essays by art critic Päivi Ruutiainen, describing the Finnish jewellery scene since the 1970s, and Karen Pontoppidan, professor at Munich’s Akademie der Bildenden Künste, who analyses the work of the three Hibernate artists.
