Nikita Kavryzhkin’s jewellery evolves around the idea that the atmosphere and aura of surroundings, particularly works of art, are transcendental concepts. The atmosphere of the sublime is an example of creating atmospheres that involve all building elements, such as space, sound, smell, light and shadow. The key factor in achieving this effect is the image of close-to-distant and the ability to generate intimacy through distance. According to Nikita the atmosphere of the sublime is created through the image of close-to-distant, physical farness, time distance, mystery and obscurity, and the ability to generate intimacy through distance.
