Li Liang’s jewellery is heavily influenced by classical Chinese painting and calligraphy which she says give her work spiritual power and feed her imagination. Lines are aeroplane vapour trails across the sky, the cracks in a glacier, sunlight across the horizon. For Li, they express the emotion of reality. 

Li was born in Xi’an in China and lives and works in Sweden. She studied at Stenebyskolan and then at HDK – Academy of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg and was one of the Marzee Graduate Prize winners in 2014 for her MA work.
