Jenny Klemming
Jenny Klemming describes her practice as a search for connections, particularly between humankind and nature. She gathers aspects and associations, hints and suggestions, balancing craft and experiment and chance and control as she maps out what interests her. She says of jewellery, ‘I like the thought of it being lost, found, re-made, inherited and worn during a lifetime – that the piece of jewellery is forever, with a life span longer and separate from mine’.
Jenny Klemming was born in Malmö in Sweden in 1981. Following her apprenticeship with goldsmith Judit Emödi, Jenny studied jewellery at HDK – Academy of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Her work has been shown in Europe, North America and Asia and is held in the Marzee Collection and the Alice and Louis Koch Collection in Switzerland.
