‘Beautiful City – Light Years’
When wearing jewelry you are a spectator and an actor in one.
You look from a distance and you look from within.
Like the ‘Woman with a Pearl Necklace’ from Vermeer.
Time is an inseparable involved factor.
This lies on the base of these new pieces.
They are made of elementary particles of unsold work of the past years,
like titanium, tantalum and gold strips, pearls, antique coral and my great grandmother’s glass
beads, and I added new elements and color as well.
So the old pieces keep existing in the past and the new pieces emerge from them.
From ground plans of places they now transition into ground plans of time.
They are born from an empty origin, which means not visible or materialized or organized.
The O, the zero. Origin means the birth of sunrise.
This is the beginning of time. From here all kind of stories emerge.
It is something it is nothing, choices and laws are made on the way, by coincidence.
