Description
‘Breakthroughs’ are often associated with something radical and incisive. At first strange, they reveal something surprising, liberating and, most importantly, something new. Silke Trekel and Sylvia Kögler deal with breakthroughs in porcelain in many and varied ways. Both seek new forms of expression through the interplay between aesthetics and function, albeit in two completely different areas.
This book was published to accompany Silke and Sylvia’s exhibition of the same name in the Stadtmuseum Halle in Germany in 2014.
